This is a magnificent 1950/60’s Venetian freeform glass sculpture bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by the Cristallo Venezia CCC glassworks. In a stunning combination of blue glass with copper base glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.
It has an abstract shape and a glossy finish. This mid-century modern piece reflects the style of the 1930s with a touch of antique charm.
